The Christ Church University Big Band, directed by Steve Waterman, presents a programme of classic jazz repertoire by composers Oliver Nelson, Benny Golson, Chick Corea, Dizzy Gillespie and many others. The concert will feature the many talented jazz soloists from within the band. We are delighted that this recital will also feature the University’s Wind Ensemble, directed by student conductor Richard Blake, performing Erickson’s Toccata for Band and Grainger’s Molly on the shore.
