Canterbury Christ Church University will help regions around London capitalise on the 2012 Olympic Games by leading a consortium which will share best practice and research ideas.

Sidney Cooper Gallery, St Peter’s Street, Canterbury

Amanda’s work explores, through abstract, linear and figurative disciplines, her relationship with the area of coastline between Dover Harbour and Deal pier.

Saturday 17 November - Amanda invites the public to come and draw boats and seascapes on large pieces of paper in the Gallery. Free event.

Geography Ambassadors

The Royal Geographic Society has been working with the Geographical and Life Sciences Department on their Geography Ambassador Programme.

The programme has been set up as part of the Action Plan for Georgraphy, a two-year DfES funded project to promote geography in schools. The External Relations Department has launched two styles of University calendar for the 2008 calendar year. The full colour calendars feature photos of each campus and of life at the University.

The freestanding CD size calendars contain 12 removable cards housed in a CD-style case. The wall-hanging calendars are A4 size and spiral bound.
