Directions

Travelling by car

For all directions follow signs for the A260 Harbour and Town Centre.

From London/Ashford:

  1. Leave the M20 at Junction 13 for Folkestone.
  2. At the first roundabout take the third exit on to the A20.
  3. At the second roundabout go straight on to Churchill Avenue (A259), signposted for the Harbour.
  4. At the third roundabout take the first exit, straight on.
  5. At the fourth roundabout continue on to Hill Road (A260 – signposted to the Harbour).
  6. Turn right at the next roundabout, continuing on the A260, then bear right on to Dover Road (signposted Town Centre, Harbour).
  7. Continue under the railway bridge and at the roundabout take the first exit on to Southern Way (signposted East Cliff and Warren).
  8. Turn right on to The Tram Road (just before the railway crossing).
  9. Continue under the bridge, staying in the right-hand lane.
  10. At the junction turn right into Tontine Street.
  11. About 100m up Tontine Street turn left into Mill Bay, by Androus Café.
  12. The UCF building is halfway up the hill on your right.

From Canterbury:

  1. Take the A2 towards Dover and exit at the A260, signposted to Folkestone.
  2. Follow the A260 towards Folkestone, through the villages of Denton, Selstead, Swingfield, Densole and Hawkinge.
  3. Go up and over the hill after Hawkinge and at the roundabout take the first exit, Hill Road – A260, signposted to the Harbour.
  4. Follow steps 6 -12 above.

Finding parking

There is no parking at UCF. However, there are a number of public car parks nearby. For further information please telephone 01303 760600.

For those with disabilities, two designated car parking spaces are available. Please ring ahead to book these in advance.

Travelling by rail

The nearest train station is Folkestone Central, about 20 minutes’ walk away. A direct service is available from London Charing Cross, Waterloo East and London Bridge; from Cannon Street change at London Bridge and from Victoria change at Ashford.

There is also a high speed service from London St Pancras via Ashford taking 57 minutes to Folkestone Central.

There are also services from Canterbury East, Canterbury West, Ashford, Maidstone East, Broadstairs, Margate, Ramsgate, Dover and Deal.

Travelling by Bus

Folkestone is well served by buses connecting the various parts of the town with the nearby towns of Hythe, Dymchurch and New Romney to the west; Dover, Deal and Sandwich to the east; and the nearby villages leading to the city of Canterbury to the north.
