Composition:

Five (5) members       -               Mr Steven Clark (Chair)

                                                Mr Peter Hermitage

                                                Vice-Chancellor

                                                Mr Cedric Frederick

                                                Mr Tony McDonald

                                               

Note:    The Vice-Chancellor is to be a member of the Committee for all matters except those that concern his own position.  He should withdraw from the Committee when his own salary, terms and conditions or severance payments are under consideration.

Quorum:

Four (4) members

Reporting Relationships:    

The Chair of the Remuneration Committee is empowered to authorise action on the decisions of the Committee, making subsequent reports to the Governing Body

Secretary:

Clerk to the Governing Body (attendance at the discretion of the Chair)

Frequency of meetings:

As and when required, with at least one meeting held each calendar year

Terms of Reference:

To determine and review the salaries, terms and conditions (and where appropriate, severance payments) of the Vice-Chancellor, designated senior staff and such other members of staff as the Governing Body deems appropriate.
