Canterbury Christ Church University is an increasingly diverse community, with students from all over the world and from different ethnic backgrounds.
The University currently has a three year Race Equality Scheme and Action plan (2007-10) which outlines the University's plans and actions in relation to race equality across the University in this time frame.
Following the Equality Act 2010, the University has made the decision to move away from the separate equality schemes and to adopt a Single Equality Scheme. This will incorporate all of the new Equality Strands, including race, and this should be drafted following consultation with staff and students, by the end of the academic year 2010-11
Ethnic Minority Mentoring Project
In 2010 the University ran a successful
mentoring project for ethnic minority
students, funded by the University's Widening Participation Budget.
