 "Flying the Flag in Folkestone"
George's House Gallery, in Folkestone's Creative Quarter will be hosting an exhibition by artist Vince Laws.

Poet, artist and campaigner, Vince Laws, has been invited to take over Georges House Gallery in Folkestone, from February 3-15 and he intends to celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Trans History month by flying the rainbow flag over the door. Mr. Laws will display coming-out stories expressed as text art and hold a Pop-Up Pride on Saturday 11th – everyone welcome – as Oscar Wilde said, ‘You don’t have to bat for us to admire our balls.’

“No regeneration is complete without a confident queer community,” said Mr. Laws. “It’s important to be visible because children get bullied. People take their lives. Let’s all embrace each other’s differences. Show me Folkestone is a safe place for everyone to be themselves and I’ll be a happy man.”

Other events include a Launch Party, a Human Library, a St Valentine’s Day Poetry Massacre, performances, the Marcel Duchamp Chess Challenge, and  more.
