To celebrate National Inter Faith Week 2011, Canterbury Christ Church University hosted a 'Day of Faith' in the University Chapel.

The day was a great success and as a result we held our second event at the University's Medway Campus on 25th February 2013.

Day of Faith Programme:
24 November 2011, 11am-2pm

11am Coffee and welcome

  • Introduction by Pro-Vice Chancellor for Equality and Diversity, Professor Tony Lavender

11:30am-12:30pm Religion and belief, and the experiences of staff and students in Higher Education Institutions.

An Equality Challenge Unit regional presentation.

Key Speaker: Neil Baker, ECU Senior Policy Advisor on Religion and Belief  

  • Exploring the key findings from recent research including areas for development within Higher Education Institutions and the importance of objective setting and outcome based delivery in equality.

1pm Compassion: An Inter Faith Exploration

  • The University’s Inter Faith Council invites you to a round table exploration of what compassion means
    in Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism.
