Chaplaincy

chapel doorsThe University Chapel is at the heart of the Canterbury Campus, geographically and spiritually.
It is situated by the main reception, which itself is just by the fountain (Gate 4).

Our location in the middle of the campus is important to our mission. Just by coming together for worship we celebrate and witness to God’s presence in the University. We thus seek to open up the possibility of encountering God for all members of the University community and seek to be a place to be with God in prayer, a place to learn about faith, and a place to make real friends.

The Chapel is dedicated to Christ in Majesty. Behind the altar you will see a tapestryinside chapel that shows the risen and glorified Christ as the redeemer of all creation. We take this as our inspiration. Thus we seek to rejoice in the presence of the risen Christ, to be open to the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and so bring glory to God the Father.

All students and staff are very welcome to all the services and meetings for prayer. Students help to lead the services ..and new musicians and vocalists are always welcome.
