We provide an opportunity for students from schools and colleges to experience science in real-life settings.

Our SportsLab educational visits provide a unique, interactive and fun learning environment, designed to support the curriculum and enhance students’ knowledge and understanding. This exciting experience gives students the opportunity to see science in real-life settings.

Educational visits explore a range of specific curriculum-based topics from within the Sport and Exercise Science discipline, which aims to:

  • inspire students and help them to learn, enhancing their knowledge
  • help students grow as inquisitive and reflective lifelong learners.

The academic content of visits can be adapted to deliver high quality information, appropriate for different levels and programmes of study.

Educational visits are usually priced at £80 per hour. A standard visit is typically 90 minutes – 2 hours in duration. This ensures adequate opportunities for participation and learning.

The visits can be tailored to satisfy individual or group needs. A tour of the campus and facilities can usually be arranged and provided by a member of staff from our Admissions Department.

Students can bring a packed lunch or purchase lunch in the University’s Food Court, under supervision of their school teacher/staff member.
