Wayne rejoined the University in August 2006 as Faculty Learning Technologist - he is currently assigned to the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences| where he is responsible for staff development opportunities in the area of learning technology to support and enhance learning, teaching, assessment and research. He has taught on the PGCLT(HE)|.
He is also part of a small team responsible for defining and supporting the learning technology infrastructure at Canterbury Christ Church as well as working on a range of institutional and faculty projects. He has been a team member of several JISC| and HEA| projects including Kent PLPP Extension Project|, the iBorrow Project| and DEBUT|.
His current interests include the role of social software and media in Higher Education; digital literacy; e-portfolios for learning and professional development; and understanding how pedagogy, space and technology intersect and interplay with each other inside flexible and open learning environments.
He graduated from Canterbury Christ Church in 1999, having completed a BSc(Hons) in Information Technology and Social Science (with Psychology). He has worked as a senior web developer and project manager specialising in e-portfolio systems for the Primary and Secondary Education sector and is a Chartered IT Professional with the British Computer Society|. He is currently undertaking a MSc in e-Learning| with the University of Edinburgh|.
