Simon joined the University in September 2001 as Faculty Learning Technologist. He is currently assigned to the Business School| within the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences| advising on the use of Technology for Enhancing Learning and Teaching (TELT).
He leads on the University's use of Turnitin| for originality checking and electronic feedback as well a working on a range of institutional and faculty projects. He is an active member of the Turnitin UK User Group|.
His current academic interests include planning for blended learning, including success criteria and costs; electronic feedback, formative use of plagiarism detection systems and exploring the potential of audioslides.
He has previously worked in software engineering, web development and quality management and holds a BSc in Physics and Computer Science.
