Elaine joined the Team in May 2007, coming from South Kent College where she had been teaching for over 8 years and was the Programme Manager for ICT and Computer Engineering. Her teaching areas included Computer Maintenance ,Customer Service and Planning and Networking Computer systems.
Her first job having left school was as a Police Officer with Kent Constabulary but left after 11 years when she had her son. She has had a varied career including working as a tour guide and Learning Support Assistant before getting the teaching bug.
Elaine has a BA ( Hons) in Post Compulsory Education and Professional Practice, from Christ Church. Her degree allowed her to research virtual learning environments and e-learning which became invaluable when she had to train staff at the FE College.
Her interests outside of work include body combat, step classes and swimming.
