The Student Agreement
Before embarking on a programme of study at Canterbury Christ Church University, it is recommended that all prospective students read our Student Agreement.
The intention of the Student Agreement is to provide a general framework to enable the University and those studying here to work together to create a positive environment for learning and academic achievement.
Within the prospectus you will find listed the range of options that may be available for your chosen programme of study.
Module options in Year 2 and 3 will be offered subject to availability.
The modules lists in the prospectus are indicative and do not guarantee that an option will run or be available to all students.
The choice of modules may be limited by considerations of timetabling, staffing or the number of available places on a module.
In some of the 'Content and Structure' sections within the course listings there are references to 'starred modules'.
Students can opt to replace one 20-credit optional module from their main discipline with a 'starred module'.
For example, a student studying single honours in English might opt to take a 'starred module' from American Studies, Politics, Photography or Law or choose to study Spanish or Mandarin.
'Starred modules' are also available to Combined Honours students in Year 2 and Year 3 of their programme.
Please note that choices are sometimes limited by timetabling constraints.
The University day
University lectures will normally take place between 9:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday. However, occasionally sessions may be held outside these times.
Students on placements and field trips may be asked to undertake their studies at different times.
