Postgraduate Research Association
The Postgraduate Research Association (PGRA) is a society organised by research students, with the full backing of The Graduate School.
The Association's aims are to represent, and further, the interests of research students by promoting social interaction and collective identity with university authorities and other relevant national and regional bodies. All research students are encouraged to participate.
Elected PGRA representatives sit on the Research Policy Sub Committee and are, as a result, able to promote research student issues directly to the Head of The Graduate School.
Representatives for 2011 - 2012 are Miss Asya Draganova and Mr Paul Cherry.
The PGRA also arranges a series of seminars, where research students are invited to present to peers in a safe and relaxed environment.
PGRA annual conference
As well as regular seminars, the PGRA host an annual conference encouraging learning and the free exchange of ideas across subject areas. There is also a regular monthly peer-support session, which generates discussion around specific themes associated with the research process.
Graduate School funded research
Each year, The Graduate School funds student research through a programme of full-time PhD scholarships.
Christ Church research scholarships projects represent a diverse range of student interests. For more information about these scholarships and case studies, please visit our Postgraduate Research pages|.
