'Surgical Extravaganza' - Surgery over the last 100 years
Wednesday 17 October 2012
Medway Campus, Chatham Maritime, ME4 4UF
You are invited to attend an interactive lecture and demonstration highlighting the changes that have occurred in clinical surgical practice from major open surgery to the current keyhole procedures now being performed across Kent.
The lecture and demonstration, at our Medway Campus, will be given by two internationally renowned consultant surgeons - Professor Matin Sheriff and Mr Hasib Ahmed. Included will be a vivid account of the milestones in surgical practice over the past 100 years which have led to the current minimally invasive practice of keyhole surgery.
During the evening you will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to test your own surgical skills, using state-of-the-art simulated computerised training models currently used by surgeons at the University to develop their own skills in keyhole surgery.
Do come and join us for what will undoubtedly be a unique and entertaining insight into the world of surgical practice.
